Endly Street Community Improvement Project, Phase II

Second Public Hearing

The Town of Chase City will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Chase City Town Hall, 319 North Main Street Chase City, VA to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Endly Street Community Improvement Project, Phase II. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Endly Street Community Improvement Project, Phase II proposal will include the following activities: housing rehabilitation and construction, sewer, and storm water improvements.

The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the Town’s past use of CDBG funds. A fact sheet on the proposed project and the draft proposal is available at the offices of the Southside Planning District Commission, 200 S. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill.
